Important Update for Our U.S. Customers 🇺🇸 - Cascadia Skincare

Dear Cascadia Community,

Many of you may not know, but a significant policy change has shaken the small business world. As of August 29, 2025, the De Minimis Rule—which allowed duty-free shipments to the U.S. under $800—has ended. This means that shipments from Cascadia Skincare, which are typically under $800, may now face tariffs of up to 35%.

On July 30th, a new Executive Order was issued that ends the Duty-Free De Minimis program for all countries. This change takes effect at midnight on Friday, August 29, 2025, accelerating the repeal outlined in a bill passed earlier this month.

In addition, the U.S. administration has announced that a 35% tariff will apply to Canadian-made goods not covered by the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), beginning August 1, 2025. These goods are currently subject to a 25% tariff, so this marks a significant increase.

For over 3 decades, our relationship with you has endured beyond borders, elections, and changes in leadership. We deeply value your loyalty and want to continue serving you with care.

To adapt to this change, we’ve updated our U.S. pricing and shipping:

  1. Product prices have increased by 10–20% (depending on the item) to help offset tariffs.

  2. Our free shipping threshold has been raised to $99 USD.

If you placed an order in the last two weeks, you may have noticed slight delays as we worked through these sudden shifts. Operations are now back to normal.

We’re grateful for your continued support as we navigate this together. Wishing you wellness and calm in a world that often feels chaotic.

Warmly,

The Cascadia Skincare Team
