Harnessing Nature's Essence: The Art of Infusion

☝A new batch of calendula and chamomile infusion getting started in the :) It will be ready just when the temperature start to drop for those of us living in the northern hemisphere...is it too soon to prepare for autumn let alone winter? 😅 This infused goodness will be key ingredient for our customer favourite skin salves!

We believe that herbal infused oils are a result of a harmonious marriage between nature's bounty and traditional knowledge. The infusion process involves steeping dried or fresh herbs in a carrier oil (in our case, organic olive oil), allowing the essential compounds of the herbs to infuse into the oil over time. This technique captures the therapeutic goodness of the herbs, creating a concentrated and potent oil that can be used for various purposes.

1. Arnica Infused Oil: A Natural Remedy for Bruises and Aches

Arnica, (found in our Arnica Muscle & Joint Massage Bar), a vibrant yellow flower native to Europe, has been cherished for centuries for its ability to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and accelerate the healing of bruises and sprains. When infused into a carrier oil, arnica's beneficial properties are preserved, making it a go-to choice for soothing sore muscles, relieving joint discomfort, and promoting a faster recovery from injuries.

2. Calendula & Chamomile Infused Oil: Nourishment for the Skin, and serenity for the mind

Calendula (found in our Skin Relief Salve), often referred to as "marigold," is renowned for its skin-loving properties. Its sunny petals contain anti-inflammatory and antiseptic compounds that work wonders on various skin conditions. When infused in oil, calendula becomes a powerhouse for soothing dry skin, reducing redness, and promoting the healing of minor cuts and scrapes. Its gentle nature makes it suitable for sensitive skin as well.

Chamomile (found in our Hand and Body Salve as well as lip balms, and small quantity in the Skin Relief Salve) , with its delicate white flowers and soothing aroma, has long been celebrated for its calming effects. Who is with me on mandatory chamomile tea in the evenings? ☺️  Infused into oil, chamomile becomes a versatile remedy that promotes relaxation, eases tension, and supports a restful sleep. Its anti-inflammatory properties can also bring relief to irritated skin, making chamomile infused oil a holistic choice for both body and mind.

Arnica, calendula, and chamomile infused oils are nature's way of extending its healing touch to you. By incorporating these herbal elixirs into your wellness routine, you're embracing the ancient wisdom that has been passed down through generations. Whether you're seeking relief from aches, a boost for your skin, or a tranquil escape, these herbal infused oils stand ready to enrich your life with their nurturing and rejuvenating properties.
