How to Use:
Wet the bar and swirl a damp shaving brush or hands to create a rich lather. Apply to damp skin before shaving. Rinse clean and store dry between uses.
Nowhere in the product description does it say it smells like patchouli. I hate patchouli! It's giving me a headache, and I haven't even taken it out of the box yet! The ingredients list on the box says it contains Pogostemon Cablin (Patchouli) Oil. May as well not bother with all the other stuff because patchouli is all I can smell. And it's not subtle, it's REALLY STRONG! Why anyone would want their face smelling like that is beyond me. Now that it's arrived, I have to go online again and try to find some shaving soap. The one nice thing I can say, is that it's what I wanted, in that it's just a round block of soap -- not in a plastic tub, with a screw-top lid. I've already got a enamelled metal shaving cup, I'm looking to refill.

As a shaving soap, it is what my sensitive skin demands. I use it every morning and have done so for years. It's natural, effective, and I wouldn't be without it.
I have been using this shaving soap to shave my legs for several years...and highly recommend it. I purchased a shaving brush secondhand and it is the perfect tool to lather the soap on to my legs, making it so easy to shave without bumps or scratches. I also love the fresh clean smell of this soap. I have allergies and cannot use anything that is too floral.
